Bestone in Ystradgynlais is a well presented, well stocked and welcoming store. Recently under new management- a lovely family from London. The new owner Nishan was extremely welcoming and polite and couldn't be more helpful when I visit the store. Nothing is too much for the staffat this shop. Upon entering the shop you can see a very neat layout, all products have been shelved cleverly with the offer bays in plain sight and with some fantastic offers too. The alcohol selection at the store is vast and has something for everyone's tastes, from excellent value for money wines and beers, to high quality products so if splashing out on a good wine for your evening meal is what you like then this store has what you need! The Bestone products are of high quality and are fairly priced- I was able to do my weekly shop here as the store has a wide range of products from fresh fruit and vegetables to cleaning products and toiletries. When I went home and conducted a price comparison with our local supermarkets, Asda and Tesco I was shocked to find that I had actually saved 2.79! This lovely shop offers a range of services from Lottery to conveniently being able to return unwanted parcels via the popular courier service Hermes. The stores opening hours are incredibly convenient from 8am until 9pm. Having spent some time speaking with the new owner, I get the impression that he is a kind, family man who is so helpful and polite, it's so wonderful to return to this local shop after some time of not going there due to past owners, and be able to shop locally and support the lovely village that is Ystradgynlais. I highly recommend a visit to this store!

It's probably the best shop here. Has an awful lot packed into the small shop which is great. They take card and the staff were friendly. Clean and tidy.
